Im looking for a really light upland gun that is very reliable, nice to carry in the field for extended walks and has the ability to change chokes. I handled a Benelli Ultra Light and fell in love but the price...well after already buying 2 new rifles and scopes for deer..isnt going to happen.
So what should I be looking at? Does anybody make a super light pump? How about those Baikel MP153'S ??

That would greatly depend on your perceived budget, brand and guage preferences.....

The Baikal semi is a very good cost efficient semi and is available with a 24in bbl, however, at 8lbs will not adaquately serve the purpose indicated.

I would look at the Benelli/Beretta/Fabarm/Browning line of 20ga semis.

For pumps, you may wish to consider the following......
- Benelli Nova 20ga (also available with a 24in bbl),
- Browning BPS Upland Special 20ga (22in bbl),
- Rem 870 WM 20ga (26in bbl)

IMHO, all good quality pump shotguns for Upland.

As far as reasonably priced field O/U or SxS are concerned.....
- Savage Milano O/U - 20ga
- CZ SxS (recommend models with double triggers) in 20ga
 
I have and can highly recommend the Ithaca English Ultra 20 ga. pump. If you can find a used one, they are like a wand, 5-1/2 lb. and smooth to operate. Only came with a fixed choke though. Mine's choked modified, I load spreaders for ruffed grouse in the thick stuff, and I find that modified is about right for everything else.
 
I know a gentleman that has a Ithaca model 37 pump in 20 gauge that he purcased new in 1958. The gun is near mint with the 26" non ribbed barrel in modified that it came with and he has a 28" vent ribbed full choke barrel for it. He has been talking about selling it so if your interested let me know and I'll check with him.
 
I was in the same boat as you earlier this year, I dropped my coin on the Steven 512 Goldwing in 28 gauge. It is a very reasonably priced O/U with choke tubes and it shoots very well for me. And it is also available in 12, 20, 28, and 410 (fixed chokes only for the 410). I am not sure what the actual weight is, but it is considerably lighter than my buddies Remington 332 in 12 gauge.
 
In an auto loader the Franchi 48 AL in 20 or 28 gauge is hard to beat.I have two in 28 gauge that are great to carry and work perfectly.
 
I have a Yildiz SxS 12 gauge that's just over 6 pounds with removable choke's,it's great for all day hunts.If your looking for a nice 20 gauge o/u take a look at the Fair shogun's, my dad has one of there higher end 20's and he love's it. It also come's with removeable choke's.
 
I used an original Model 12 - 20 ga. Skeet as an Upland gun for a while ...
light enough and handles well. I suspect a good used Browning Model 12 Grade 1 in 20 or 28 ga. would do the trick for you, for a nice pump. Seen a few of them around for $ 500 - $ 700
