Like my Siberian a lot

And to huntinggearguy:

I watched the video you posted and your comments, also comments from users. I also watched many of your other videos. You lost credibility with your review about the Siberian.

I included match footage where it failed on me. I had first hand experience with failure to fire, fail to extract, fail to feed, and bolt hold open issues. I was more than fair to the rifle considering the various failure types I saw and I was specific in my critiques of the rifle.

I'm confused as to what you're even claiming for this rifle. Which scenario is more likely?

1. A few independent reviewers are out to get BCL for no good reason
2. This rifle is a lemon and the reviewers lied about its warranty trips
3. This rifle is a lemon and the warranty trips failed to resolve its reliability issues

This experience with the Siberian is pretty similar to my experience with the 102.

I am a very experienced shooter (55 years plus) with an extensive collection of firearms, a lot of civilian shooting experience and time with the Royal Canadian Artillery. With a bunch of firearms in the Liberal sin bin I decided to buy a semi auto 223 while I still could. Despite mixed reviews I chose the Siberian. Took it to the range for the first time and shot 100 rounds Winchester white box 55 grn FMJ using the factory supplied mag. Used an Elcan c79 from one of my ARs. Here are my conclusions:

Negatives:
- long creepy trigger, but its not a precision rifle and you can't expect a 4lb crisp release
- should come from factory with a muzzle brake
- the recess in the bottom of the front hand guard limits placement of some accessories

Positives:
- No failures/problems at all. Ate all 100 rounds perfectly (I know thats a low number but so far so good)
- More accurate than I expected. Under 2 inches at 100 yard and 3 of us could hit a 4' gong at 200 yards every time
- No mag over insertion issues (but then again I don't ram the magazine home)
- Nice rifle to shoot ergonomically and looks good
- Took home and field stripped for cleaning. Very little fouling inside and no signs of unusual wear

Maybe I got lucky but as with my 102 so far I like this rifle a lot.

Hey! I just got one as well and it performed great on it’s first range trip too! 300 rounds and the only stoppages
I got were using Cross mags (not the first semi .223 I’ve had that did ‘t like them).

It’s my second BCL and both are accurate and so far dependable. And the folks at BCL are quick to answer emails.

I was a military firearms instructor when we went from the FN to the .223 platform and I think the Siberian is a fine
rifle.
