********Like that Garand? Want to keep it? READ THIS!********

Aha

Even though it's 23:30 right now, just finished 6 letters, 2 to Harper, 2 to my MP and 2 to Day... I'll send a set tomorrow and the other set late this week or sometime the next. I've never actually wrote any letters, but I'm a little concerned with the way the politicians seem to be handling things. I certainly love Garands and would hate to give mine away just because someone thinks we shouldn't be carrying such things.

On top of all of this, (even though I'm not big on politics) I can't understand why someone could actually take away our personal property... wouldn't it be considered theft if we refused but they took it forcefully? And how in hell would they even be able to disarm the whole country? I think it's a friggin' ridiculus assumption and the Conservatives had better get their head on straight instead of jumping on these ideas like a fly on fresh ####. I do hope these letters change things, because if they don't, I'm finding a way to keep my belongings    :D :D

can any of you give me the address for the "letters to the editor" page for any of the major papers in canada? sounds like something that a citizen of a country with no rifle registry needs to write a letter :p

don't you fellas need a special amendment to your licence to own any semiauto centrefire rifles?

Not yet!

Go to the articles section and look for the link about the DDM. Using this system peppers all major canadian newspapers with your letter :)

Hmm. only one problem with dementeds system, it's only set up for you canucks, theres no "overseas" option in the location drop down list. I'll just have to do it the old fashioned manual way :runaway:

hard work, but doable with a list of addresses, is there some way of getting a list of addresses from the source code on that page? it looks likely to be java rather than html mailto, and i'm no java hound
