bought my shorty from CanadaAmmo last year. got the rifle and case of Nork (green box) ammo.

The Nork ammo is the only stuff I've put through it. No reloads, no factory .308...................just Nork.
I'm only up to 160 rounds through the rifle and have had absolutely no problems. I haven't cleaned it except for when I got it and got rid if the shipping lube.

I was out to the range today with my boss. I took 40 rounds for the Shorty. He shot 25 of them, I got the rest. I off-handed 5 for 5 at the 100 yd gong (12"x12"), went 5 for 5 at the 250 yd gong off the bags. At the end of the day, just for $hits and giggles, I asked the other guy shooting at the range to spot for me while I tried for the 550 yd steel rams. I cranked the rear sight up to the 600 yd mark, and started lettin' fly. Forearm of the rifle was supported on the bag by my left hand, buttstock was off the bags. I ended up hitting 2 of 5 (spotter said the hits were about 2" apart) one shot just missed the ram's nose, one just under the belly, and 1 just over the back..
All in all, not too bad for a 55 year-old fat guy with bad eyes using factory sights.
I might have to try some decent ammo in the shorty one of these days.

we all feel the need to lick these rifles!! but I would suggest you refrain!! who know what Chinese chemicals are impregnated in these beautys!!!
OH HAHA YOU MENT LIKING!! HAHA MY BAD!! :p :p :p

Congrats nice shooting. I don't know anything about norc green box ammo, (if it is corrosive or not) but if it is I would advise cleaning it between shootings, gas system and everything with hot water no need for windex. Keep up the good shooting.

The ammo is non-corrosive ( I keep checking for rust, etc). I'm just doing a "torture test" to see how many rounds before function is impaired. If and when I start shooting reloads out of the rifle, it will start off all clean and shiney.

I shoot a full size and a shorty. I have discovered that both will cycle 100% with down-loaded ammo. I usually load 42 gr of powder. They function just fine with only 27 gr. Recoil is nothing. perfect for CQB and plinking at the gravel pit. Kids and girls would have no problem with the reduced recoil.

The gas system must have some kind of automatic regulator.
