Lil Mulita kicked a coyote the other day. About 175 - 200 yds.
No hero...hence no " It was so far I had to factor in the curvature of the earth to hit him" or a " So close that I feared for my life !" stories.
Just poked him while leaning on a fencepost.
7.65 x 53 Peruvian 1935 carbine running PPU brass with 150 gr SP over 44 grains of 4895. Real nice load, mild recoil and low noise & muzzle blast.
Just an odd old gun...getting it done
My father said " He didn't even require much stitching to close the exit hole" so it's a good varmit buster.
Elk next...big fat bullets for that though...

It's currently my favourite actually. Just handles so slick...too short of course. The front sight seems as thick as a pencil, LOL.
Followed by a shortened 30-40 Krag-Jorgensen ( On the EE it'd be a carbine and worth 1000 $ apparently, even though no-one has K-J carbines in reality...very rare).

Fine shootin' there mister. I sold a CGN member one of those Peruvians some years ago. Rare rifles. Very under rated round. Basically a .303-08.
