I went to my local gunshop and picked one up. Cost me around 18$ so I was like What the hell try one out. So Im gonna take my Steven 200 in 223 out Sunday and see if it makes a difference.

It would only improve accuracy if your accuracy problems are resonance related, I would assume.

Think of it as a tuning device for resonance. These things have been proven in 22 circles for quite a while now, there was a length series of articles about them in Precision Shooting, I forget the author at the moment. - dan

I'm interested in the accuracy change aspect too...especially since with one of these, the rifle looks like it has "laser power".

They are only of use if you are shooting factory fodder. Handloading to take advantage of your rifles particular harmonics negates the need for the limbsaver.

ICQ, Incorrect...
anytime you change the harmonics of a barrel, you can in effect change the accuracy of the rifle. Factory hunting, Match, and or Handloads can benefit from controlling barrel harmonics...
And there are plent of ways outside of the above Limbsaver Unit...

I think what icq was saying is that with a handload you can play around with just the right combo of components to tickle your rifle the way it likes so that the bullet always leaves at the peak or valley.

But if you can get it to leave at the same peak or valley every time, and have consistent velocity etc..

I think the thing will be temperature sensetive. Probably works best in warm weather. May have a negative overal effect.
