Limiting SKS Magazine to 5 rounds?

I will be visiting the states in the near future and when I am there I am going to try to find a factory replacement internal magazine so I can swap out my damaged origional one on my SKS.

Has anyone ever "pinned" or blocked one to 5 rounds before? I was looking for the nicest way. I was going to Rivet it, but I dont want to see the Rivets from the outside, so I was hoping to think of a different way of doing it.

I have access to a friends garage and his tools while I am visiting, so it wont be a problem to actually do something that looks half decent.

Nope, on the follower not the bottom of the mag. It's hidden outside looking in.
