Just wondering where the best place for AR mags is. I am sure everyone has their sources, anyone feel like sharing? I have only tried PoliceOrdinance and Dlask so far (they seem fair but have limited supply or only one type), I'd like a few more places to try before I make a purchase :)

I'd like to find a place with good selection (30/20/10 or 5rnd) which already have very nice pinning jobs (not scratched up/dented/mangled bodies) - trust is important here since I can't see what I'd be buying.

Better yet, I am handy with a drill and rivet gun... does anyone have a source for a "Canada-Friendly-Parts-only" supplier (i.e. not completed magazines)?

Thanks :)

Please post links to help others reading this thread (PM's are good too).

I believe you. Any Customs people have a scan of the actual directive?

I got my mags from TSE and the CGN exchange forum.
Even if you get used ones, you can get replacement parts (spring, follower, base plate) from Brownells. I didn't have any trouble with those rebuild kits getting across the border, but i never tried ordering mag bodies. Too scared of having them seized and receiving a letter from the justice dept...

Interesting... I've had pistol magazines (probably ordered a dozen in 2005) come through the border no problem; even from Brownells with no paperwork. I only got refused from Brownells when I tried to order shotgun parts and scope parts (I Needed paperwork for these items only).

I will investigate the AR mag situation further though, maybe they are like shotgun parts?
Thanks for links and information though :)

The laws changed in October or November and State is no longer allowing Magazines or Speedloaders to be exported without the right paperwork...

ahhh... that truly does suck then.
Thanks.

Hope a Conservative gov't patches things up between the US and Canada :) heheh

Yeah all my parcels were all opened and passed through no problems... hi cap mags too (in parts of course).
