Lipseys Africian 9.3X62 Circassion...

I shot the new Lipsey's/Ruger African 9.3x62 today.

I put it into a Ruger factory synthetic stock that I had lying around, and mounted a VX-II 2-7x33 on it.
250 gr Accubonds with 60 gr of Varget gave me 2585 fps and a 1.75" group.
I wasn't shooting my best today, and I'm sure that load would go 1.5" or better on a day when I haven't been up for 24 hours and had 2 pots of coffee.:)

It seems I've got this habit of buying new moose rifles after moose season is over and taking them out and killing whitetails with them, then for moose the next year I take the old standard anyway, a stainless Ruger MKII .300 win.

Last year it was a #1 .375 Ruger.
This year it was the 9.3x62.

I settled on 59.0gr of Varget with the 250 Accubond at 2551 fps.

This is what I had in mind, Alaskan/stainless/Circassion/9.3x62, PERFECTION!

This is just a rendering :p

Clay, what is the minimum order for a custom run?

Anyone interested in a stainless Alaskan in 9.3x62 (or .375/.416) with Circassian walnut?

Hey Gunslinger...you should have one of those "African" models too..esp when you head to the Dark Continent to start work on your second book of hunting. ...BTW....how is that first book of the N/A 29 ...is it near done yet ;) ;)

Got my Lipseys Gunblast 9.3x62 before Christmas, mounted a Leupold VX3 1.5-5, did the trigger and finally loaded up some 250TSX. 56gr of imr4895 cci250 and lapua brass, 2400 fps. First three shots 6" or so left, adjust and good... wish it was always this easy. Great little rifle, excited to add some more powder to it and see how it shoots.
Thanks Prophet River!
