Anybody on here smart enough to get ahold of one of these gems? Just stumbled across them on the internet last night. Upgraded wood, express sights, 275 rigby stamped.....looks like a neat rifle. Would love to see pictures of one.

I have had and loaded for rifles stamped 7X57 and .275 Rigby simultaneously including properly headstamped brass, both of which had the same capacity, and I loaded identical loads for each... if you like the sound of "Rigby" for "ye' ole English" charm, then that is what you should do... I no longer have a Rigby, but still have two 7X57's... it is one of my favourite cartridges, and tied for my favourite case.

I'd love to see Lipsey's have a batch of 1A's cranked out in 9.3x57 fer us lead dumpers.The 7x57 is still a great all rounder though.

Its some years ago now that I had a #1 in .416 Rigby. At the time I thought a companion piece marked .275 Rigby would of been desirable in that I'd have had a brace of Rigby's. There isn't much that couldn't be done with that combination.

Not likely... they already did the 9.3X62, which is a better overall cartridge.
Boomer, the two Rigby's would be a very cool brace. A more practical, if slightly less cool pairing for NA would be an H in .375 H&H and an A in .275 Rigby.
The 9.3x62 might be better, but better isn't always the order of the day with Ruger #1s. It's more about different/collectable.
The #1 in 30-30 was fairly popular and still sold when there were faster 30cals done already.
I agree, in "better" I was referring to collector interest... I collect No.1's... but I can pretty much guarantee that the 9.3X57 would not outsell the 9.3X62 from a desireability perspective... there are a couple dozen cartridges that would be ahead of the 9.3X57 from a collector perspective... the standard 8X57 for example... and many ahead of that one. It is more likely that they would do runs of their out-of-production popular cartridges... the .405 in the "S" would do well as would another run of the .30/30 in the "A"... the 6.5X55 or 7X64 Brenneke or Roberts or 6mm Rem in the "A" and the .356 in the "S"... there has been much clamoring for these for many years. The nice thing about the new No.1 production paradigm is that Lipsey's actually listen to their customers... and they check in on forum and collector buzz. Contrary to popular opinion, I am a fan of these manufacturer/distributor relationships.

I considered the No.1-S 9.3x62 but went with the ballistically similar and way cooler 9.3x74R instead. Seems to me the No.1 is better suited for flanged cartridges -
