List of Gun Clubs in Canada

The Greenwood Rod & Gun Club is no more in Nova Scotia.

Also forgot Atlantic Marksman Associations and few others at least 2 walk in ranges.

North Mountain Contact is outdated.

Same boat as a number of other members I see, coming back to the sport after 15+ years and seeing wait lists that have been closed since 2016 is insane. I'm in the Burlington/Oakville, Ontario area and was hoping someone knows of a place taking in new members (that isn't a 2 hour drive 1 way). Gas is almost as much as ammo now.
I know that feeling. I have no desire to drive hours one way to use a range.

Are there any ranges near Kingston?
Kingston ontario? Good luck getting into one.

There's one in kingston itself, napanee, frankfurt, brockville and prince Edward County. All with wait lists

If youre military there's the club on the base in kingston, but when I left a year or 2 ago it was only certain specific pistols in specific calibers you were allowed to shoot. IE 9mm P38 and 9mm Hi Power. No glocks in any caliber exc. I know they were working on changing that but im not sure if it was approved or not. Only rifle allowed was .223 from what I recall

Yup, my soon to be (in under 5 months) brother in law is from the Kingston area and has had a difficult time finding a club. He is now in process of joining my club (Orono Fish and Hunt) but for him it is still a 2 hour, 12 minute drive (one way) from where he is. And we have a long wait list at our club. But knowing he can shoot with his future bro-in-law is good incentive for him. In other words, despite the long drive, he is happy to have somewhere he can shoot.

I have heard from many over the years in the big/bigger cities that they struggle to find clubs. That will of course, be the case around most big cities, and the clubs that are somewhat close will be exorbitant cost-wise or super busy (can't find / book a lane) or long wait list - or all three. Maybe 20 years ago there were more options for closer proximity. I drive an hour to get to my club but it is absolutely worth it as I love my club. It is not fancy by any stretch, but there are good folks there, and we keep the riff raff at bay with only being open a couple of days a week.

I think the old adage applies nowadays that beggars can't be choosers. With the current political environment, I'm glad there are still clubs available, as sadly, a number have shut down over the years.
