Cheap, but totally unnecessary and some ranges would consider this a no-no.

If anything went wrong, it's a Sig...comes apart in secs.

Why do some ranges consider a bore light a no, no?

If possible go for a combination type trigger lock and combination lock for your case---nothing worse than getting to the range and realizing that you left your keys at home.

A range bag to carry all this stuff in. Make it big enough to expand for all the crap you will wind up getting.

I picked up a nice range case (like a small tool box, but has lots of compartments and adjustable spacers) that holds everything I use at the range including the ammo of the day.

I am a member of 5 clubs in the GTA and none of them would consider a bore light a no-no. I own several of them and toss them in the range box and my pocket when going out shooting, especially indoors where some ranges are poorly lit. It sure makes seeing what's going on inside the workings a lot easier. And I feel a lot more comfy having the light coming out of the end of the bore before putting it in my face. Just common sense, but that's just me.

Why do you say that it would be a no - no at some ranges? Perhaps you have confused this with a laser sight or laser bore sighting tool. I'm sure that's the case.

What we are speaking of here, I believe, is just a flashlight that consumes minimal power and has a curved fibre optic head that permits white light to be placed into one end of the barrel to verify that it is clean.

Dont forget a pen so you can mark the date and info on you targets when you get a wickedly good grouping! And lots of extra ammo and a range box/bag for all the extras and tools for sight adjustment ect.

I bought reloading gear before my 9mm show up. Anyway here is a tips. Go Home Depot and get some orange, green and red print sample card. Some of them are about 2.5''x2.5''. I use them as a target. I keep each card for record. It is free.
