Just got back an ATIP with a list of firearms awaiting classification. It is pretty disappointing. Once you go through and eliminate all the airsoft guns, 3D printed guns, air guns and blank guns, the only things left are mostly more turkish shotguns, an ARish .22 bolt action, and AR-180 clones that we already know about. But luckily there are a few gems, notable the VSS Vintorez, Fostech origin and Beretta PM12.

Its sad that none of the importers bothered to try importing a sample of the CETME L, M249S, PSA STG4, etc.

Origin could be sweet. Would be nice to have a magfed shotty that isn't Turkish. Not suprised no one bothered sending in anything like an m249, everyone's waiting fir a change in gov/policy.

doesnt matter what the RCMP say they are going to be reclassified by trudeau's new firearms advisory panel when it gets up and running

Look at those "received" dates. Does it take 3-5 years to make sure it cant go full auto without heavy mods, if thats what theyre pretending to do?

If your business had constantly lost money over the last 8 years solely due to government interference, would you still want to throw money away on a "maybe" it'll be allowed in?

I don't think anyone will want to submit any rifles until we know when election is coming.

And if the liberals are gone, everyone will be trying to buy the real deals like HK416 SIG SPEAR Colt Canada MRR that sort of things again.

Imagine all these guys who come in after 2020 could finally experience even what a colt plain jane LE6921 can do.

Most of them have had 10s of thousands of dollars tied up in unsellable inventory for years, and still have their doors open today, so I’m sure they can afford to import a $1500 rifle, which they could recoup most of their money on if the rcmp classifies it as prohib. It’s pretty clear that almost all importers in Canada now just care about making a profit off of cheap Turkish shotguns rather than try to grow the semi-auto rifle market.

IF the conservatives win, and IF they get a majority, and IF they actually follow through with their promises. Now would be the time to submit new samples since it takes at least 2 years for them to do a classification determination. If the conservatives don’t manage to win a majority in the next election, then at least they won’t add on any new gun laws, and the newly classified rifles could be imported without fear of being banned immediately.

I just wish there was a way to crowd-fund buying a sample firearm in the US and have an importer submit the sample to the RCMP. It would only take maybe 100 guys kicking in $20each for every semi-auto rifle that needed to be submitted. If the rifle gets prohib’d then a $20 loss isn’t going to break anyone. And if it gets classed as a NR/R, then just have a draw from the guys that chipped in $20 to see who wins the rifle to keep.

Can we not do exactly what you suggested? I'd kick in $20, I'm sure it would be hard to get 99 others to do the same.

I don’t get what the issue is. If you want any of the mentioned guns just buy one from the US and import it yourself… pretty sure IRG or whomever just submits it (your gun) to the RCMP if it’s unclear whether importation is legal.

If it is, more will come, if it’s not, back across the border it goes.

And don’t you have a BFL as Motiuk? I’ve seen you post this idea numerous times. Just import a sample and if it works you can make a buck importing/selling more…

No way to facilitate that I know of. Crowdfunding sites don't allow firearm purchases, and I believe it is against forum rules to co-ordinate this on CGN.

I think most of these simply can't go back across the border. Maybe I'm wrong.

I do manufacturing not importing. I really don't have any connections for exporting out of the US.

Well you aren't getting one of these.

Lol, if it end up as restricted, then why not?

Do it on your IG?

Ask IRG. I believe they have mentioned that if they imported them and the gun originated in the US, it can go back. At least that was the case for many AR-15s.

Just take the gamble for us man it’s like $1500. Some idiots blow that at the casino just gamble it on a CETME-L instead.

Because VSS Vintorez is an integrally suppressed rifle.

5 seconds of google

"The Tula and Molot Arms semi auto civilian version. It is can come chambered in either 9x39mm or 7.62x39mm and has 10 round magazines. The suppressor is faux on it, but I have seen customs suppressors made for them in other countries like France and Switzerland where private civilians own them."
