piniongear... The thread is valid, but the bull-pup thing gets all the old timers going... IMHO, no question is a dumb question. The dumb thing to do is NOT ask questions...

francly i would not worry the anti know that they did not get what they wanted whit a list and every new black gun is an insult to them so next time its by feature like: semi auto and handguns
 
The last time the government banned a bunch of stuff, they got a copy of Gun Digest or similar, went through it looking for "scary" stuff, and banned on that basis. That is why the HK G11 is on the list.
Someone pulled a Freedom of Info Act request, and got a package of photocopies of the book with felt pen "X"s through the nasty ones.

Hey, I knew that not all bull-pups were prohibited. Hence the reason why I asked which ones weren't; I've always been a fan of the "Bullies". They handle really well, they aren't very long, and shoot well. I had a chance to play with a fully original Aug here a few years back. :dancingbanana: What a gun! Too bad they are prohibited, I would love to have one.:D

There are a few civvy version of say the P90 and F2000 that are restricted, but I was wondering but I was wondering what other options are there? I'm not in the Prohibited class(es), so restricted is as good as it gets. The P90 is a sweet rifle, might see if I can find one of those. I'd trade my SL8-5 in on one.:D PM me if you got a P90 civvy and want to make a trade! FS2000 is worth a PM as well.
 
My mistake.
The original question about a list was by Piniongear, the comment about the bullpups all being banned was from CZman.
 
I have a close relative who is RCMP. He got a hold of the list of Restricted and Prohibited weapons with pictures. I'm not sure where that copy went but if I do ever come across it or can get another one, I will post it up. I was told anything not on there is good to go. It seems based on looks as posted previously. I bought an M1 Carbine with the barrel length extended to 18.5" which made it legal. The M1 Carbine was the last gun pictured(with original 16" barrel and paratrooper folding stock) on this list but with the extended barrel, it is okay. Some rifles may be the same, but I'm not the expert.
