My choice for this years draw hunt in the B.C. area 5-02 was a recently acquired Husqvarna model 1651 in 358 Norma Magnum.

Regretfully:(, because of a hip injury I had to cut my trip short so I didn't get the opportunity to try it out.

I lucked out at a few local gun shows and picked up seven boxes of Norma factory ammo, I was pleased with accuracy results so that's what I was going with.

However............ Next time I guess.

Winchester SuperGrade M70 in 7mm Rem Mag w. Leupold VX3 3.5-10 x 40 in a Bell & Carlson stock shooting 165Gr Federals (I know crazy ammo, but they shoot like lasers out of this rifle and have dropped every moose I've pulled the trigger on).

I'll post some pics of the hunting trio later.

I will be using my (new to me) Model 70 Featherweight Classic Control Round Feed in 280rem with Burris Fulfield II 3-9x40 on the dry days.
Shooting 140gr Ballistic Silvertips Winchester Supreme Ammo.

And my Model 760 Gamemaster in 308win with open sights for the wet days.
Shooting 180gr Remington Core-lokt.
Got this gun from my Uncle this spring and refinished the stocks with tung oil.
Be nice to harvest a Moose with it this fall!

I'll be taking my ugly gun for my LEH moose this year. :D

It is a MAK tube gun frame built around a Remington 700 SPS Varmint in .308. I just put a Jewell trigger in it and the stock is a Magpul UBR. I'll be shooting a 165gr Interlock.

Normally I would take my Brno ZG-47 in 7x57 but a wrist injury has made it hard for me to shoot a rifle with a normal stock.

I will be back to my roots with my Winchester Model 71, in 348 wcf of course. I shoot the Barnes Original 250 grainers. I can't reach out as far with my trusty old lever guns, but I only have a cow tag to fill, so no preassure.

Great choice!! I have one of the same and it's my favorite lever gun/caliber combo:D.

The bullets I have to reload with, for jacketed, are the Hornady 200gr, Barnes originals in 220gr and 250gr as well as a couple of cast bullets. My model 71 deluxe will be one of two rifles I'll take for Moose next year, if successful on a draw.
