Recently I sent Shiloh a couple of Farmingdale-made locks for tuning and a '63 breech block for fitting of a new gas plate.
Kirk Bryant called and said he'd really prefer to have the complete rifles to work on. He listened to me whine about the hassle of so doing and said he'd call a Canadian contact and get back to me.
He referred me to Leo Bumphrey of Regina, known to some of you for his quality 'Boomer's' BPCR bullet moulds. Leo is keen to do the work!

Looks like we may have a Canadian Shiloh agent for warranty/repair work. No more shipping hassles, fees, risk of loss, damage, etc.

With my new shiloh sharps on its way.
So this is good news.

With such a stunning jump in popularity and interest in perhaps the sharps type rifles should get a section of there own here on the forum.

I don't know if there is a sudden popularity boom in Sharps rifles, certainly not enough to warrant a "Sharps rifles forum", is there?

Wow... Mr. Kirk Bryan listened to somebody whine? I know he does have a liking towards us Canadians, but he must be getting soft in his middle-age. :D

So much for Leo's retirement. :p

New to this forum, but not to black powder. What the hell is black, red, and green guns?

Here's what I can gather.

Black guns - "assault rifles" and other scary guns manufactures in North America and Europe.

Red guns - scary rifles manfactured in former and current communist states.

Green guns -

A small bite of "acid wit" from Mr. Hunchak, who is one of our more knowledgable members and who is always very helpful. Go Ben!! Black rifles eh??? Red rifles no less!!! Surely we can break the "black powder" groupies into segments?
