Lithgow F90

Miracles do happen. Apc223 was approved! :) Bullpup SA might be another story, but if it's not somehow considered an Aug variant we could have a go at it. Also provided the mfg did a solid enough job with the SA model; full auto convertibility seems to be the going scapegoat lately. I'd pick one up in a heartbeat if approved.

Even if it wasn't an AUG variant, does anyone actually believe that the Australian government (who are considering magazine restrictions for the Lee Enfield, and tried to ban the lever action shotgun) would ever consider selling any version to civilians?

They are selling this to the US commercial market. Just like anyone else, certain parts will be made in the US.

It is hard to argue it is not an AUG variant. It is an AUG trigger and bolt carrier, only the QD barrel got ditched.

I am partial to bullpups already, but that's a damn fine looking one

x2 that looks... really good. Nice rail space, good placement for hands. Wish it was forward eject instead of side, but that would have complicated things.

Edit: also weighs only 7 lbs out of the box.. not bad!

The above diagram is of a Steyr AUG, not of the new Lithgow F90. It only shows the gas system. From my reading the new rifle has different trigger packs/stocks and is not interchangeable with the Steyr AUG.

If that is truly the case then it could be NR, hopefully someone will bring in a sample. I would buy this for sure. I love shooting the AUG rifles (done in the states of course).

Yes got that, it was stated earlier in the thread that the Lithgow had done away with the take down latch.
It still retains it.

Don't get me wrong , I would love to have this

But straight from Lithgow itself:

Backed by 100 years of experience and manufacturing of weapons for Australian soldiers since WWI to the battlefields of today, and evolved from the Austeyr family, the F90 builds on this battle proven platform to meet the needs of today’s military forces. Its bullpup design for longer barrel length and optimum muzzle velocity delivers superior stopping power in a compact package.
