Lithgow LA101 arrived today

It looks nice, I really like it. The barrel looks good, the shape of the stock is nice... Finally someone making a proper height cheek rest stock for a rifle that comes with no iron sights.

Barrel looks beefy!

Let us know how she runs! What the CAD Price tag is also!

Nice rifle, I've never heard of them before. Looks like single shot. Barrel length?
Shoot it and get some targets up please. Did you custom order it?

These have been around for quite awhile and the company made rifles for the Commonwealth during the world wars. There are some videos, new and old floating around.

It takes those expensive cz mags

The rifle was purchased from Trigger Wholesale (don't sell to the public). To answer a few questions, haven't tried out the safety yet as I won't shoot it till next week, the only plastic on the rifle is the trigger guard. check here for all specs - h ttp://www.triggerwholesale.com/product/lithgow-arms-australia-la101-crossover-rimfire-5rd-bolt-action-laminate-stock

Very handsome looking rifle, the stock geometry looks good for scope use too. I was curious about the metal used, whether or not it was stainless. Checked the link, it says;

Military Grade High Tensile Steel; CERAKOTE H Series (Titanium) Finish

Very curious about how this rifle shoots, and what ammo it shoots best.

Oh...and congrats! :) "New gun day" is the best day of the year.

Magazines are either bent sheet metal or plastic... There shouldn't be all that much of a difference between the different guns
- I know, more common guns will usually have more common magazines, and bigger qty usually means lower price, but still

A Savage magazine will set you back $25
Pretty much the same magazine with a Anschutz plastic base plate is now $65.
Now change that Anschutz plate for a Cooper one and it's now $125
:runaway:

-*-

Looking forward to some range report on that rifle

My first 22 purchase was an Anschutz 1450...almost 28 years ago. Mags for that gun were about $45 each at the time if memory serves. Now they over $70.

I have seen pictures of the Lithgow with the bolt removed on Rimfire C. The machining, fit, and finish are beautiful. I would love to see pictures of the 101 out of the stock to see how she looks under the hood. They look like a very well put together piece of equipment.
I want to learn all I can because that amount of cash is up in Anschutz territory. The Australian dollar is about the same as ours. They start at 995.00 there. At 995.00 the retailers are making some money. I wish we could get them closer to that price point.
