Hey everyone,

I lost a part when hunting grouse last fall, and didn't realize until the rifle broke into two pieces during my hike.

Does anyone know where I could find this part. I have one half of the bolt, just not the other.

I did check many hardware stores for a similar part that could be compatible, but had no luck.

Thanks in advance.

i will check the thread measurement for you later. you also lost locking washer but dont use the same type, it chew up you alloy receiver, you can see the marks left in your pic. use a washer with no teeth. maybe star or wave washers.

And apply a drop of Loc-tite, the blue type, or similar product from whatever company, on the threads when you assemble it. That will prevent losing the replacement part. And put a dab of grease on the rubbing surfaces. Then tighten it until the hinge moves with modest resistance, as it will settle in and become slightly looser with use. The nylon washer suggestion is good. The supplied star washer destroys the metal under it very quickly.

Yes.

You can get appropriate bolts for it.

Or there are some good write ups to make quick take town pins

Little badgers are great guns.

Hey everyone, thanks for the replies.

I ended up getting a shear pin of the correct diameter and cut it to size. I will get a key ring next just to keep it in place.

It's not a perfect solution, but it's functional. Eventually I will find a better take down pin for this little rifle.
