Me and the brother-in-law downed this moose on Saturday past. We saw a cow and calf running full bore down a crest of an hill and then into some woods. We walked down to a bog to try and cut them off since we had an either ### license. The cow and calf ran right past us under a full head of steam before we could get a good shot off. We kept walking down the bog, and this big boy came out in the same area the other two came out of. He must have been chasing the cow looking for love, and she did not want any part of that. About an 80 yard shot with the B-I-L's 30-06 and he almost went down. I sent a 180 gr .303 bullet into him and he was down for the count.
