little disappointed with the MRR 11.6

I'd just keep it, if I was you. I really don't see your issue with it - I got mine recently and I'm quite happy with it. I knew it didn't include all the little bits I wanted (I agree with you, actually, that it's pretty lame CC didn't include the same brake on the MRR as the prior IURs and the ambi parts as they did on the SA15.7, but it was clear in the photos I saw on my vendor's website what was included and what wasn't), so I sourced them elsewhere in advance. You'd be better off sourcing the brake you want and keeping the upper otherwise as is. Just my opinion.

I was never going to sell a complete upper! I am going to sell the upper chassis. The post your quoting was a sarcastic reply to a completely stupid offer. If you read around on our great forum you will find a company that actually rebarrels the IUR and can do the MRR I believe (no need to buy the tool). Do you really think I would put it up on the EE without a picture and not show anyone interested in it there is a scratch! That would be dishonest. Instead of trolling around why don't you read my initial post and make a comment pertinent to the conversation. This was just me sharing my opinion. I'm going to build my rifle my way and if I want to spend triple what a part costs because I want it, that's what ILL do with MY money! I don't care if someone else thinks "I'm going to take a bath"

I am going to assume you got your FH off of the IUR, Have you shot it yet? Do you notice any improvement over the standard A2?

Wow, calm down there big rig and pump the brakes.. I never said you wouldn't disclose the scratch what I said was that you won't recover anywhere near full value for several reasons. 1. The scratch 2. No longer has a CC barrel(if you were to sell it assembled) 3. You grossly over paid and will likely ask far far too much for the upper(complete or not). It is very much your money and it is yours to spend as you see fit. I'm just not following how your logic train came to spending $1800 on an upper only to keep the barrel, will somehow be cheaper than having the DD barrel(or someone else's) anodized the way you want(saving you about $1000).

Oh and as for "how/why would CC do this to us.." from a previous post of yours. CC hasn't done anything but convince people their rifles are somehow worth a hell of a lot more money than other top brands. No one forced you or anyone else to pay those prices, and a high price does not guarantee a high quality product.

Haven't had time to shoot the MRR yet, but have had several IURs with that same brake. Not a bad brake, but I've used better. Not a bad flash-hider either. A good compromise between a brake and a flashhider IMHO, which is probably the point of it. I'm curious to see how it'll perform on the shorter barrel. And yes, it's off an IUR.

Its actually funny how you opened this post up as I work for a name brand big rig shop so that comment hit right home (well played sir). Sorry for coming across snippy, I just wanted to find out if anyone else felt the way I did. CobraGT did understand and contributed with his comment of "I agree with you, actually, that it's pretty lame CC didn't include the same brake on the MRR as the prior IURs and..." but this thread went off topic a little bit. I am really not concerned about recovering any "loss" from the upper, I took the parts I wanted. I won't need the chassis, so I will sell it, when I list it up I will be open to an OBO. I didn't really over pay, if you take a look at Nordic Marksman by the time you get upper, BCG and CH plus tax you are at the same price point. As far a logic sir, I wanted CC that's all the logic I needed. You wouldn't put Freightliner parts on your Peterbilt would you? CC has a battle proven track record so to me that stands for something, sometimes it doesn't matter what something costs, if you want it you want it. The people who buy CC buy it for their own reasons and those reasons don't need to make sense to anyone other than him (and maybe the wife) When I hold my SA15.7 with all green furniture I feel a sense of pride of what's in my hands. Your statement of "a high price does not guarantee a high quality product" does not apply in this case because the quality is there.

How much are you going to sell the chassis for anyways.

How easy it to take off the barrel on the monolothic CC upper ?

I am going to have the upper disassembled by a professional armorer, I have heard the tool to do it is on the $2000 plus side. I will be asking permission to post all the info of who is going to do the work and where the purchaser could send the upper to have a barrel installed. Don't know how much to ask for the stripped chassis yet and again I will get an opinion from the armorer of where to start for a fair price. If you have been reading the posts it does have a minor scratch and I will show that in pictures when I get it stripped apart.

Not trying to poke into you selling this upper but who will bother buying it then, it would be a pain in the ass to have assembled again with another barrel..

Shipping to an armorer extra cost etc etc?

The armourer I know is local so no shipping and he has already quoted me under $50.00 for disassembly. It is a unique part and will take a unique buyer. If I never sell it no big deal, maybe I will rebarrel it to 10.5" or maybe it will sit in the parts bin for the next ten years. Who knows not to worried about it. I will have my Canadian Colt built just the way I want it. =) The extra parts are just that, extra.

It'll be like that guy who wants $1800 for the complete 6920 upper on EE. I wonder if that ad is still there lol.

you need to adjust your expectations
6929 is 1200 usd from irg
youll need to convert that into cad and add tax
you wont be seeing a 1200$CAD 6920 ever again, those days are long gone.
