First of all, let me congratulate you on your stated intentions of asking for a valuation with regards to selling the firearm. We see too many Posts here that have wonderful descriptions of the acquisition of a new to the person firearm, and then see a "What is it worth?" at the end of the Post. Then the firearm appears on the EE, because all the "deceptive" person wanted to do was sell it in the first place.
The Stevens Little Scout was intended as an inexpensive "Boys Rifle." However, there are quite a few people who do collect and fire these rifles. Many of these rifles were shot during the period of Black Powder cartridges and sometimes immediate cleaning of the bore was not done after shooting. Bore condition is VERY important and can affect the valuation of the firearm.
You might also include a good close up picture of the right side of the action, and the breech block to show people what it is like. Is it "tight or loose?" Also a picture of the right side to show the condition of the stock on that side.
If the bore is in reasonably good shape, and no serious dings, gouges or scrapes in the stock, in my opinion, a realistic value is about $150 to $200. A poor or rusted bore can cut this in half.
