Litz is nice....

I loaded up this bullet in Applied Ballistics Mobile (Please confirm this is the app you're using) and it seems to be loading the correct G1 and G7 numbers.

The guys above are correct that at 600m there should be negligible difference between G1 and G7 based trajectory predictions. HOWEVER, if you select G7 and give it a G1 number (or vise versa) the difference is about 0.5 MIL which is the error you're seeing.

So I suspect that somehow you got the G1 value of 0.745 entered but have the G7 drag model selected and that's why the program underestimated the drop so much.

It might be possible that it somehow pulled the wrong value from the library, but when I just tried it the correct values were populated.

Nevertheless, I believe if you use the correct BC's from here on in you'll be fine.

.338 cal 300 SMK
G1 BC = 0.745 (average from 3000 to 1500 fps)
G7 BC = 0.381 (valid for all speeds)

Thanks Kris for calling my attention to this.

Edited: Don't know how I missed your latest post mush, but it seems like we're all on the same page now.
Are there any plans to make a version for the Iphone?
If so is there a projected date?

I have not purchased another application in hopes that you will have an iphone version by spring.
Eagerly waiting on your response.

Thanks Kris for calling my attention to this.

No problem Bryan. Thought you would want to know if there was an error in the library. I have an iPhone, so I can't run your app., unfortunately. The info given pointed to an incorrect G7 value, and the thought never entered my mind that there were BC values in the library that you had not derived.
