Lizzard Bedding for tumbler?

You can also get crushed corn cob bedding at the pet tore that works well in a tumbler. Add a few table spoons of meguires liquid mag polish and tumble with the corn cob for a few minutes then add the brass.

I use lizard bedding and it works well. It is crushed fairly fine and if you tumble after de-capping you will have some stuck in the flash hole. I add some nu-finish to it to shine the cases and add a few strips of a dryer fabric softener sheet to collect the dust.

I got some corncob bedding a while back at Walmart but never got around to trying it. The grains are quite big when compared to the Lyman media I'm using at the moment. It looks like it would be OK for pistol cases but would get stuck in .223 cases.

I read on castboolit about using sandblasting 20/40 corncob. Will buy a bag and report. Supposed to be fine and not plug the flash hole

Found http://www.abratech.ca/ yesterday, they are in quebec.(near montreal). emailed them to know the cost per bag + shipping. will report when they answer.
I am in a rural town here, I don't think there are any local suppliers for corncob sandblast.

They sell any abrasive you want, walnut also

What about using 1mm ceramic triangles to polish? Would not get stuck in flash hole and would give the cases a pretty good shine? Anyone tried the ceramic media?

I went to my local pet store to check out lizzard bedding (crushed English walnut) and found the particules to be very small. Is this what some of you use in your tumblers or does lizzard bedding come in different sizes?

Thanks in advance guys!

I use the same thing, so much cheaper. The stuff I bought is dustier than walnut media from the gun shop though, cutting up a dryer sheet and putting in with the media seems to help a bit.
