Ljungman AG42-B replacement stock and cleaning rod.

Greetings,

I'm located in the U.S. and am looking for a Ljungman AG42-B stock. The original stock (lower portion), had a cut a piece out of the original stock to mount a cheap scope. It's also missing the cleaning rod. I was told that at one time Canada had thousands of these rifles and was wondering if anyone knows where one might find a replacement stock (lower portion) and cleaning rod AND if they would be importable to the States. Ljungman AG42-B parts a quite scarce here in the U.S.A. and all of my leads locally have been dead ends. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

the cleaning rod, you could get an m96 cleaning rod and cut it to the right length and have its end rethreaded.

I tried that. Unfortunately, the steel is too hard to take a new thread, even with a brand new cutting die.

Try tempering the tip before threading and then re-harden after.
