So before the cries of 'Bubba' start being tossed around hear me out. I've decided to start reloading for my Ljungman but if my brass is crushed and 30 feet away it makes it hard to reload.

Now I am not blessed with a steady enough hand or the confidence (more the confidence and lack of spare parts should I screw up) to do this myself but I am sure many members here can do this themselves.

I had a gunsmith simply tap the threads in the existing gas port screw and install a standard torx screw. Easy to adjust and now my brass merely falls at my feet or on the table beside me. No more crushed necks! Sorry for the poor picture quality but I did this on my phone. The alteration cost me 20$ and was done by a local gunsmith. The screw isn't high enough to interfere with the sights either.

This alteration has been around for quite awhile, and as you might imagine there are many variations to this. I like the allen head set screw with the bottom end ground to a fine pointed tip, gives you a bit better adjustment.
Any change in load requires an adjustment to this screw.
