A friend of mine has the gun in question. The extractor has been taken off and is non exisitent. Are they all they interchangable with parts of any 1911?

Help is always greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

Which LLama is it ?? By that I mean is it a recent model which are 1911 clones or an older model that were simply look alikes ??

If it is the older model then I would say (IMO ) that 1911 parts are not interchangeable .

The specific model is important. Gunparts lists extractors for most Llama models. Not exactly cheap. $17.60US for a Model IIIA extractor. Llama went out of business in 2005, so your buddy's options are limited. Shouldn't be any fuss getting it from Gunparts though.

What you could do is take off the slide & take it to a gunsmith or a good gun shop. Just the slide by itself does not require an ATT.

I would suggest Ellwood Epps as they are not that far from you. I have an NRA firearms book with schematics for most guns . If you send me a picture or a model number I will see what I can do to help. I am not that far from you ( Near Schomberg ).
