I think 168gr is the pill of choice but don't quote me on it.

You guys realize that in factory testing off a machine rest and feild trials for the British Army, the rifle was not able to produce that result ?
My LMT does not go near that with irons at 500m and decent ammo. It is, realistically, a 1-2 MOA rifle at best, but I guess, going by the wisdom of the intertubes, my "skills" need improvement then
Buy one and enjoy it for what t is - a fine firearm exquisitely machined and assembled - and let the internet snipers worry about fractions of MOAs. It is more accurate than most people's capability.
I would love to see accuracy pictures tho! The only interesting rifle is an accurate one

I'd say a lot of shooters down south are full of s**t like they are up here....
I'd say you either have a bad barrel on your MWS or you have a hate one for that gun.

1-2MOA at 500m with iron sights is pretty good if you ask me.
I have one and love it. It is very accurate no question, I'm just a bit more realistic with its abilities over other people I guess.
There is nothing wrong with the barrel or the rest of the gun.
All I'm saying is if someone goes out and purchases one expecting moa or better performance consistently, if they are realistic with what that implies, they are going to likely be disappointed.
As always everyone's mileage will vary.
Just coming on late on this one. I have a MWS and love it. I do have to agree with Beltfed on this one. I have shot some MOA or better groups, but not consistently. I do not believe that with the CL barrel it is a better than 1 or 1.5 MOA gun: on a consistent basis.
beltfed, I and other APRA members always hear about these incredible shooting claims but never seem to see these guys show up at the range or for a match. I used to have an AR10 match that did shoot sub MOA. I like the MWS better but I think it needs the SS barrel to milk out a bit better / more consistent performance.

Anyone who is expecting consistent 1MOA out of run of the mil CL barrel is potentially setting up himself for disappointment. However, I am not going to discount that there are barrels outthere who could do this and they might not be as rare as one might think. After all, FN was able to make sniper rifles out of "selected" GPMG barrel blanks.
There is NO accuracy guarantee by LMT so this year they have good barrels, next year they may not. The current contractor seems to be doing a decent job but there is no guarantee the next contractor or the next run by the same contractor after a tooling change could produce the same result. LMT might have spec for the contractor - but LMT did not guarantee any precision spec to the consumers.
It appears that the current barrel contractor is doing a fantastic job as it seems that lots of good reports are coming out. So by statistics the "median" precision value for their current run is titling towards the "good end" and many barrels are clinging close to this median value. . However, there is no "spec" or accuracy guarantee, you should not expect to have 1 MOA rifle just because a few guys on the internet could produce the same result. It is luck of the draw - you may draw a barrel that is at the outer limit of range within the deviation.
you better buy one with the expectation it is a 1.5 to 2 MOA rifle, anywhere in between +/- 10%. If you get a 1MOA barrel, enjoy and it is entirely possible.
