Worth it for building a CQB? My alternative was a Rock River with Troy rails. ANybody have any feedback on the LMT stuff?> thanks

LMT monolithic rail is an excellent concept and will service you well in your needs, but unless you have a burning need to own one, you might as well go with your other option. The LMT offers without any doubt the best and most rigid platform on the market, and the ability to change barrels makes it unique, when however you price out a CQB LMT upper plus extra barrel and cost of bolt/carrier/charging handle - you will get more value out of your other option.

yeah the other option was to go with your stuff. Yeah Im sort of puzzled as to which offers the best bang for the buck.

If you're after a monolithic upper platform, the VLTOR VIS is being imported soon. Carbine versions first, midlengths later. Wolverine has their price list posted in the distributor forum. Almost half of an MRP with the same product. Plus it has a removable bottom rail for cleaning which the MRP does not offer.

Unless you're going to be using 5.56 and 6.8 in the same rifle, the quick change barrel is something you won't find yourself using all too often.

Or you could wait for LaRue Tactical's new uppers (+ monolithic offering)...

Yuo do have the option to go with the Vltor rail but it has been delayed for at least 30-45 days, the MRP offers alot but at an increased cost, at current pricing you could buy a new gun plus a rail system and still have money left over to play;)

Arggh I caved under pressure and bought it. Now all I need is to figure out the Lower, sites and Optics.

For stock I was thinking Magpul M93?
Optics Aimpoint or ACOG?
Troy Pop Up sites?
Tango front vert grip.

I got the CQB MRP with 10.5 barrel, got as well enhanced bolt front extraction.
How does that sound so far?
