Need some advice.

Looking to buy my first AR style rifle and really like the look & quality of the LMT 10.5" shorty; however I think there will be times when I want a longer barrel.

Will a RRA or Spike barrel be interchangeable provided, obviously the caliber doesn't change (Non piston).

Any thought nutters?

Yep it's that easy.

Only issue is that an LMT MRP barrel costs almost as much as other less 'prestigious' complete uppers.

LMT MRP barrels aren't cheap... that's quite true... but keep in mind they are extremely high quality barrels (made for LMT by Mike Rock) and they are complete barrel assemblies ready to go (barrel, extension, gas block, gas tube, muzzle device, etc.). You just undo 2 bolts, slide the one barrel out and slide the shorter/longer/different caliber barrel into the upper and tighten the 2 bolts using the supplied torque wrench. Takes about 2 minutes and just the one supplied tool. If changing calibre then you also swap out the Bolt Carrier Group and magazine which adds 60 seconds to the job. Can easily be done at the range.

The MRP is not everyone's choice but for those who want the flexibility it's very hard to beat ;)

Any idea if/when you will be stocking any more MRP barrels?

Not all of the available barrels are stock items for us (some are custom ordered only, like the Spike's Tactical MRP barrels offered in 9mm and 22lr)...

Also we sometimes have inventory that's not on the retail website.

Your best bet is to email us (not PM's) and let us know specifically what barrel you're looking for.
