I'm trying to locate the owner of an LMT Defender 2000 with the Ser# *******. Please message me ASAP if you have this rifle. It would have been purchased or traded from me after Nov 2009. Any LMT owners, please check your rifles.

Thanks.

****RIFLE HAS BEEN LOCATED. THANKS FOR THOSE WHO HELPED****

I transferred this rifle almost a year ago and the CFC says they have no record of the transfer. Being so long ago, I have no record of who it went to. I reported this all to the RCMP and the rifle's serial number is now in the system as LOST/MISSING.

The rifle is an LMT MRP 16". Sold after 06 NOV 2009.

UPDATE: Rifle was shipped 30 NOV 2009 as per ATT that was issued.

If you have this rifle, contact me ASAP.

I cannot believe that they could loose a rifle in the system.

did you sell it on CGN?

check your trader rating and contact all the ppl within the timeframe between when you sold it, until when it was likely received.

I always track what I sold to who, address, and any other info that I may need to reference later.

I've PM'd all who are within the time frame from my rating. I usually keep personal transfer info for about six months and then I delete it. I will now be keeping it forever.

The weird thing is that the short term ATT was issued for shipping on the 30th of NOV.

I really want to catch the CFC with their pants down. I think that when the rifle was transferred, the serial number was incorrectly entered, creating a new rifle and leaving the old number still in my name.

The ridiculous part is that if I didn't check to confirm what they had under my name, no one would have ever caught this.

Can you check your old registration certs? (if you hung onto them).

The reason I ask is I have two LMT lowers in my name, one of them is registered with a serial # "LMT123456" while the other when transferred into my name came in as just "654321" without the LMT intro.

Im not sure if the guy who transferred lower #2 to me forgot to add the LMT preface to the serial number...but I know it caused a bit of a fuss before the transfer was successfully completed.

Could a similar problem have happened to you?

Cna you check your bank records was it a emt, then check your email if you keep them that long. That might give you a name at least.
