LMT vs KAC vs ATR

I think all 3 of the options you have listed are good. I would also consider a Noveske with a stainless barrel. However, having said that, my hands down favorite AR ( right now anyway!) is my KAC. And yes, I own all of the brands listed here, multiples of some.

I'd stay away from the stag, some shoot, some don't.
The kac's are beautiful rifles, but a bit overpriced, and the accuracy isn't proportional to the price.
The lmt's are accurate with the rock barrels, but it's kind of a limiting platform should you want to change anything in the future.
Atrs is an option, but I had a friend that had qc issues with his upper to lower fitment...
.

Just to say that I respectfully but categorically disagree with your assessment of Stag Arms that "some shoot, some don't". My reasons:

1: I have had the opportunity to zero Stag Arms rifles 25 to 100 at a time. I have fired hundreds of Stag Arms rifles and service thousands more. I compete with Stag Arms rifles. I shoot on my own for marksmanship and for fun with Stag Arms rifles. I know they shoot. If they didn't shoot, we wouldn't sell them and I wouldn't shoot them.

2: If a Stag Arms rifle didn't shoot, I would hear about it. Every Stag Arms rifle in Canada include lifetime warranties which cover unlimited round count barrels. Nine years and thousands of Stag Arms rifles in use in Canada, including every level of government use, trainers who put 7K+ a year downrange, at least two DCRA Queen's Medalists shooting Stag Arms + hundreds of other competitive and winning Service Rifle and 3Gun shooters, and we have had two returned barrels, one of which I then purchased and it shoots just fine. Beyond that, I read the reviews our customers send. These rifles shoot, and shoot well for a long long time.

3: Results speak. If anyone else is supporting more winning DCRA shooters than Stag Arms, other than Colt Canada through the CF I suppose, I would really like to hear about it.

I value all opinions, and am happy to offer mine in return.

Sorry, I should have been more specific.
I was referring to the majority of accuracy reports on the stag 3G model, it's a fine rifle, but it seemed to be hit and miss on sub moa potential. They were however solid 1 moa guns.
So it would depend on your definition of accuracy, and the op's was sub moa performance.

Copy that. I didn't read sub moa in the initial question.

I'd go with a build from armtac, as he can get the good stuff when it comes to parts.
Do a vltor upper/lower with a noveske ss barrel.
He uses vltor/bcm/noveske components, so you end up with a top grade ar, and the noveske ss barrels are universally sub moa with 75 grain hand loads. Consistently sub moa. Not "shot a sub moa group a couple times" sub moa.
Here's one he built for me last year with a 16" noveske lightweight barrel.

Very high quality barrels, even with the lightweight profile, there is no shift in poi with long strings of fire. Sub moa, and light enough to be used as a carbine. One of my favourite rifles.

You have a Saran Wrap dispenser?! That's big pimpin!

I have and use regularly a 20" stag 1-7 twist rifle in service competition. It is very accurate in the hands of a good shooter. (Not me, but I am working on it) very good quality machining, bolt etc. recommended. Only modification made was to free float the barrel with a Daniel defense lite rail, and that was more because I liked how it looked!

100% KAC E3. They are the DI AR15 evolved. Better bolt, gas system, excellent machining, CHF barrels, Ambi controls. You get what you pay for.

LMT is top notch as well, but it doesn't have the bells and whistles of the KAC.

ATR is what you build it to be. Nice billet lower and upper. Barrel? match grade something.

"Barrel? match grade something"
I guess you figure Lilja or Rock Creek to be lesser quality or unknown barrel makers then?
