LMT vs Stag Piston ARs

Although I already bought my LMT, if I was looking for a Piston AR, that Stag sure looks good and Stag has good reputation for quality. I like the picture of the skids on the BCG to prevent Carrier tilt. Although if you're really worried, Questar sells a buffer tube with an extended lower lip to prevent carrier tilt wearing out the lower receiver. I got one for my LMT and it works well, also has 2 holes for QD sling mounts too.

How much are the AA kits, I didn't see them on the site.

Hmm... Don't see them either. Thanks for pointing that out.

They're $435.

If anyone is interested in one, call or email Steve at 877-576-0007 or info@armseast.com.

We'll endeavor to get those on the webstore for on-line orders ASAP.

Carbine systems only in stock at the moment.

Hey what is the lower on ur AR I ahvent seen one with a malple leaf before except the Colt Canada C7 C8 family.

Do any of these fit under a free floating quad rail?

I'm seriously considering the Stag 8, and from my research I know the following:

1.The Samson Star-C will work, but is difficult to find right now.

2. The Daniel Defense large diameter 7" piston free-float handguard will work, but NOT the milspec version.

3. The Magpul 7" MOE handrail will work, but needs to be modified to fit accommodate the Stag piston system. It takes a few minutes with a dremel tool and drum. See Youtube for examples. This is the option I'd go with until a vendor as the right DD pistol rail in stock.

Good point on the Star-C, also the Troy 7" (for all intents and purpose, the same product), however, they need to be modified, basically a 1/2 ball end mill to make a channel for the piston. Samson does this to the STAR-C for Stag so its ready out of the box.

Word is the "new" Magpul MOE hand guards are piston compatible from the factory.
