LMT308MWS » L129A1 Clone

It's semi auto and I've had the pleasure of using it. Something the British army got right in the small arms department. Great rig mate! Jealous.... Yes lol

The British did get it right. Full auto can be a waste of ammo as we have seen in many Vietnam classic movies. Lol! Has anyone wittnessed Travis Haley shooting his carbine semiautomatic. That's fast enough. I wouldn't want to pay for his ammo. Lol!

Blaxsun - I'm assuming you've upgraded the buffer tube, buffer and spring. Did you go with any of the Heavy Buffers products? I was looking at their CAR-10 XH or just the CAR-10 buffer for mine (when it gets in between 12-24 weeks) but was wondering how you found it...(if you went that route).

As well - why ditch the SOPMOD?

Hey has a better idea for the stock. It will be sweet!

The acs simply slips on to the stock lmt buffer tube.

I ordered my car-10 buffer straight from heavybuffers.com, took 5 days to get here...
The sopmod sucks for shooting prone, which is what the lmt mws is all about, it's a very accurate rifle.
I put a ubr on mine, suits the rifle perfectly and helps the balance alot.

Nice looking rifle Blaxsun, does the acog have the 7.62 reticle ?

My understanding is that the buffer tubes of the LMT's being exported just have the one position...if that's the case, the UBR might be a great option given it includes it own receiver extension. Never really considered it...thanks for the heads up!

Not yet; wanted to see how recoil, etc. was first. If I go with anything it would probably be a PWS buffer tube and a JP silent buffer system. Why? Just not a fan of the SOPMOD, to be honest. I think the ACS will be a better fit.

I can't speak for new ones, but mine has all 6 positions.

Also my sentiments. :D I debated a UBR, but as it will probably just sit on a shooting bag anyway I figured I might as well save the weight. :D No, the reticle is the 5.56mm version.

Not that I am a hunter, but friends of mine tell me how great the. 308 round is for deer. Not sure about moose. They are kinda big.

Anything you can hunt with .30-06 you can hunt with .308, moose are not a problem. The .308 was designed to nearly replicate the .30-06 in a shorter more automatic friendly casing.

Hey????
I just noticed you have a white LaRue clip. Did you paint it or do they have packs in that colour for snow camo?

Ya, and you caught me here looking at your rifle again. The quality of your collection is amazing. My faves are this and your PSD. PSD is #1 though.

Thanks man - I'm waiting for the Magpul ACS stock to arrive so I can replace the SOPMOD. The Spectre DR 1.5-6x is a very nice optic as well, so you definitely can't go wrong there either.

Now I just have to find a bipod for it. I've narrowed it down to either the Atlas or Vltor Modpod...
