Load .40 S&W with 10mm?

I guess it depends which die set. My LEE set has .40SW/10mm stamped on them.

I can't see a problem, just depends what depth they are set to.

Can 10mm dies be used to load .40 S&W? Will the 10mm die taper crimp the .40?

I have Hornady and Lee 40 S&W dies and both are listed as OK for 10mm as well. Because it's the carbide ring at the mouth of the case that does the sizing that won't be an issue. The taper crimp die MIGHT be a problem if it's specifically for a 10mm as the 40 case may not go far enough into it to reach the taper. However, I suspect that won't be the case as most dies have a lot of vertical adjustment.

Most die sets are 40 and 10mm, sizing dies are same and there should be more than enough adjustment in the seating/crimp die to accommodate both rounds.

The .40 S&W case is 142 thou shorter than the 10mm Auto. You'd have to adjust for that. Otherwise the difference is an insignificant one thou of case mouth and head diameter.
