Hi.
Looking to load up some 150 gr BTSP Hornady interlocks.
I have IMR 3031 powder, FC cases, CCI 200 Large rifle primers.
Rifle is a Tikka T3 Hunter bolt action.

The Hornady manual (1982) I have lists max load at 41.2 grains (2700fps)
The Speer Manual (1979) I have says max is 44.0 gr (2750 fps)
The IMR book (2005) lists 43.5 grains (compressed) as max (2881 fps)
Online data at Hodgdon/Alliant/IMR has the same 43.5 for a Nosler BT

Quite a difference between 41 and 44 no?

I will likely start at 37 or 38 and work up from there, but; just for some piece of mind, if you have loaded IMR 3031 for 150 grain .308 I would appreciate your input as to what you found was a accurate load, and if you saw any signs of pressure after 41 grains.

Thanks for the input in advance

I have loaded a lot of ammo with the Hornady BTSp a150 and 3031. used 42 gr because it worked well in several rifles. max will vary a lot from rifle to rifle. A Remington will take more powder because it has a much longer throat than a Tika.
