I have some 168gr and 175 gr nosler custom competition bullets coming and new to the target shooting game. Was wondering if anyone had load data they would share any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Get a reloading handbook or use the Hodgdon website. If you are looking for load recipes that have worked for others, you should be aware that different guns will have different loads that work for them although there are some loads that seem to be more universal than others.

For safety I think that most would suggest that you work up a load for yourself while watching for pressure signs.

This, I used loads that weren't high pressure in my rem 700, but in my new rifle I was starting to get flattened primers. Work up from min and slowly go to max. Soon as you see pressure signs stop.

This website has a great method for coming up with a very accurate, safe load for your particular rifle. Dan also lists many loads that have been found to be quite accurate in a number of rifles. Proceed with caution if using someone else's load as already mentioned. Start low and work up. What works in mine might be dangerous in yours.

As many people already stated, start low and work up. A good place to start is 10% less, however always check a reloading manual.

168 SMK's over 43.5gr Varget with Winchester primers and Hornady Brass is my go to.

Do research and find some others... there's literally a limitless resource only a google search away.

The only cartridge for which there MIGHT be more data available is the 30/06. I can understand asking about preferred loads for the 270 Gibbs or the 7.5 Swiss but the 308?

What is it with you guys? This forum has tumbleweeds rolling through it and you're criticising people for posting questions?

I shoot the same bullets out of my 308 rifles. For the 168 Nosler, I have two loads that are very accurate. One is Varget 44gr with WLR primer and CCI LR and the other is 44.9gr Varget with WLR primer(this one is a little on the warm side so be careful) both are loaded .005 thous off lands measuring from the ogive.
For 175gr Nosler, I use 44.8gr of BLC-2 (just in case I can't find any Varget) with WLR also .005 thous of lands.
These are with Norma cases and all are under .5 moa.
Good luck and enjoy shooting.
