Can anyone point me in the direction of a manual dealing primarily with cast bullets?

Have a look at the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook. Information strictly for cast bullet from 22 hornet to 45 colt and even 50-90 sharps.
Another one i like to use for cast bullets is the Lee manual for modern reloading. It has a section for cast bullets and it has another section showing how to extrapolate date from their jacketed bullet section in order to make it useful for cast boolits.

I agree on the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook,the old edition is still around but Lyman is releasing a new Cast Bullet Handbook sometime this fall,it will have load data for Lyman and selected Lee and RCBS bullet mold also.
The regular Lyman reloading manuals also has cast bullet data for Lyman molds with nearly every caliber although the data is not as extensive as in the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook. You can still use your cast bullets made from Lee and RCBS molds or commercial cast bullets if thats all you have buy selecting data from one of the Lyman molds that is similar in weight and design and work your load up as you would any jacketed bullet load.

Lyman's 49th has good data for both cast and j-word bullets, although I don't see a problem using light load data from comparable weight j-word bullets for use in cast. The problem sometimes is finding reduced loads at all, esp. with some powders.
Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook has lots more load data and powder options than there Lyman #49 manual will with the same caliber. Take the 30-30 Win. for instance the Lyman #49 doesn't even list Red Dot and IMR-4756 for 170 gr. RNFP cast loads but the cast bullet handbook does.
I use 8 grs. of either powder and the Lee 170 gr. RNFP in my 30-30 MV is just under 1200 fps. and I don't even have to use a GC,it's very accurate often times producing five shot groups all touching at 50 yds. No recoil and ideal for young shooter or all day plinking. My cost is about six cents a rd. for the small game and plinker loads about ten cents if I GC the bullet and shoot a full house load for larger game hunting.
