Hi there,
I have been trying to find out what would be a good/safe load of Lil'gun for a 55gr Hornady sp bullet for use in my .224 Ruger 77/22 Hornet? I know it is about as heavy as I can use with this rifle, but not sure about the load to go with! I have been loading between 10 and 13(Max) gr of Lil'Gun for my 40/45gr bullets, but I believe I have to lower the load for the heavier bullet? I am inexperienced in this, and would really appreciate some help. I have the bullets ready for reloading, but want to make sure I am safe. Tried various forums etc, but not had any replies. Can anyone here advise please?
Many, many thanks in advance.

Hot Hornet Loads

Eastman, reading your thread, you are over the maximum loads using LilGun, with 45gr.bullets. Hornady's 6th Edition says LilGun is excellent with heavier bullets. Using 55gr.bullets starting load is 8.2gr. LilGun, producing 1900fps. With a very small case capacity the Hornet can climb rapidly on the pressure scale when loading increasing powder charges. PM me if you would like any furthur info. C1A1
