Well title says it all, i'm looking for some loads for my Moisin Nagant. I'vegot hornady 174 grain at home right now but i'm looking in for heavyer loads also.
A load I've gotten good results with shooting Winchester 180 grain spire point is:
Large rifle primer under 40 grains of IMR4895. Bit on the mild side but very accurate at 100yds out of my M-44.
Is the ballistic performance of factory 7.62x54R in 174grain similiar to the rough equivalent in .303 British?Assuming barrel lengths are also similiar.
