Anyone ever use the load from a disk ballistic software for reloading nontypical cartridges? I just downloaded a free trial from load ammo dot com and it looks pretty interesting, the downside is that the free trial only covers 30 cal bullets. Anyone even heard of this program? Or what other means is there to work up data for a wildcat that has little following or was developed and forgotten before the internet was a huge deal?

"...heard of this program?..." Yep. It's one of many these days. However, it doesn't replace carefully working up the load using data from a manual. Too many variables involved.

Thats great when you can find your cartridge in a manual. I have a few loads for the 30x44 but I would love a few more, especially with IMR 4198, H 335 and benchmark powders.

"...loads for the 30x44..." You have a very decided point there. Try here and into the forums. No W's. benchrest.com/

lol

yepp, been there done that and oh nothing and nothing. It was a real popular cartridge amongst all four people who owned one lol. I have enough data to load for it but as any one you can never have enough data to go by.
