Hey guys,
So I’ve recently added a loadmaster progressive press to my bench, used to just load single stage.

I bought the 223 5 whole model, set it up and works great. Then I bought conversion parts to reload 40s&w and started running into feeding issues. Specifically, the case heads seem to get stuck inside the case mouth of the shell below it, which causes binding and won’t allow the case feeder to advance the case forward.

Has anyone experienced this, and have a fix? Thank you

Did you also get a small pistol case feeder? The case feeder comes in 3 sizes: small pistol (9mm/38super/40sw), large pistol (357/44/45) and rifle (223), which was the one provided with your loadmaster. The thing that pushes the case (they call it the case slide) is about half the height for the small pistol.

You might get away with ordering only this, but not sure: https://leeprecision.com/case-slide-sm.html

Thanks for your reply, it turns out it was the case slide, just an eighth of an inch too high, so it was binding. I was able to sand it down and it works flawlessly now. An extra one came with the large case feeder I ordered.

Thanks again
