Hi everyon
I begin in antique reloading
I own a webley wg 1889 army 455 webley mk1 and french mass 1873 and 1874 .

Mass is in .455 webley mk 2

Im looking find safest smokeless powder for those . To have best velocity with the lowest pressure . For now i have only find trail boss powder and hp-38 . Someone can help me to start

I planed to use 200 gr , 230 GR lee bullet . Maybe 250 gr .

i have a 455 mold drops 265Gr hollow based bullets designed on the webley bullet. if you need bullets, you can hit me up.
my notes are very bad for loads, I was using Bullseye powder for this pistol.

Hi . I buy 265 gr bullet made for webley but not hollow base . I have mk 1 brass .880" . And i can't find unique or bulleye powder . My webley was made in late 1890 . But was a wg model 1889 . I think my chamber have been modified cause if i put a 45 schofield in . It chamber . Someone told me gun have probably be modified to shoot american ammo . Such schofield. But barrel are .454" and the rim of schofield are little too tight in the action . Probably the person how modified it have turn the rim thinner to fit .
Do someone else i ever see that ? And someone have safe load data with flat base bullet . 265gr , 230 gr lee cast and 200 gr lee cast . I have in hand hp 38 , titegroup , clay , universal , trail boss

I have 2 WG that chamber Schofield brass but not 45 colt brass. I use 45 schofield data in schofield brass. The longer brass holds more powder. You can get 100 to 200 fps velocity increase and still stay within 455 Webley max pressure which is about 12k psi.

Do you have trouble to eject the cases ?
