Hey guys, I finally have started hand loading after a few years of shooting and I'm loving it! Loaded up my first batch of 22-250 for my Stevens 200 with better-than-expected results, and I'd like to develop a load for my Ruger 44 Carbine. The rifle will be used for thick brush deer hunting (possibly black bear as well), and I was just wondering if anyone had any load/powder/bullet suggestions for a gas operated carbine. I've searched around a bit, and didn't see any solid answers, I found a lot of info mixed in with revolver loads, and just wondering if there is specific powders you would recommend to compliment the longer barrel, as well as function well. I know weight wise, they were designed around 240 gr bullets, but if anyone has any other suggestions I'm all ears!

im having good luck in my bolt action 44/77 with 240gr cast boolits for plinking and 310 gr for hard hitting. iv been using h-110 and imr 4227 for max loads and 700x as well as trail boss for plinkers(donno if these would cycle a semi)
