Load suggestions for tikka t3 300. win mag

Hunting? Targets? What range?
I use 180gr Speer Spitzer Soft Points, and 75.5gr Reloader 25, which is the starting load listed in Speers #14. I get under 1 inch at 100, and smash clays at 200, I'd try for longer, but that's as far as my range goes.

Do you have a manual? I'd recommend at least a couple, they are packed with a lot of great info. I read mine fairly regularly, just for kicks.

I use 75 grains of RL22 and a 180 nosler Partition protected point in Win brass in my T3. Bullets are seated out as far as the magazine will allow but don't get anywhere near the lands. I use 77 grains of the same powder and a 180 ballistic tip in a 700 PSS/ Lilja combo with Norma brass. The bullets are seated to just graze the lands. Planting them dropped the accuracy significantly. In my rifles the Win primer pockets won't hold up under the slightly heavier 77 grain load, and using different headstamps makes it easier to keep the ammo/brass separated. Federal 215M s in both loads.

Published maxs vary from 75.5 to 77 grains, depending on what manual you look at.

I have a T3 300WM

Best load:

hornady 180 grains Interlock on 81 grain of H1000. RP brass and WLRM primer. Well under an inch....5-.6-.7 easy.

Same results with 70.5 grains of IMR 4350 all the rest the same.

T3 Deluxe .300 Win Mag: 150 TSX 50 thou off the lands (long as the clip will allow), 79.0 grs RL19, CCI250 mag primer, Fed 1-F brass partial-sized to just fit. 3345 fps, holes in holes.

Mmmmmm, is anybody using anything other than RL powders is this caliber? Not that there's anything wrong with that.;) There does seem to be an indication that if you start with RL22 you will stay there.

70 grains of IMR 4831
Remington brass
WLR primer
Sierra 220 grain RN bullet
OAL 3.365"

Gives me 2795 fps average and consistantly groups around 1/2" @ 100 yds.

This is a max load, work up to it

Here are a few different loads I have used.
Factory Rem 700
180 gr Nosler AB
82 gr H1000
CCI 250
3.520" oal
5/8" @ 200 yds

178 gr Hornady A-Max
75 gr RL 22
CCI 250
3.525" oal
1/2" @ 200 yds

Custom Rem 700
208 gr Hornady A-Max
70.5 gr H 4831 SC
Fed 215M
3.636" oal
1/2" @ 200 yds

180 gr Swift Scirocco
74.5 gr RL 22
Fed 215M
3.630" oal
1/2" @ 200 yds

My go-to powder for the 300 WM has always been Reloader 22, if I have time to play around with others I will but it always gives good result.
