This morning before work I finished shooting a load test that I started yesterday before getting wrecked by typical Petawawa rain. I have previously been shooting 3 shots of a specific recipe on it's own target. Although accurate-ish, in talking with my cousin, the klink1983 method isn't quite as conclusive as the Audette ladder method. I shot 44.5, 44, 43.5, 43, 42.5, and 42gr of varget, with 168gr Hornady match bullets at about 250-280 metres (not on a range, but at mile marker 11 on Baron Canyon Rd. for the curiosity of locals). I was satisfied with 43 and 44gr, the rest were junk on account of charge weight, and I know I pullflinched a couple of shots on account of coffee shakes and the normal 1D-10-T error that we all get from time to time.
Target pictures to follow, all constructive input is welcome. Keep in mind these rounds were my first rounds I have made so don't bust my chops too too bad.
From here I have a range that I want to play with a bit more but using the ladder method (link at the bottom) I am going to do a proper ladder test between 42.5-44-ish gr at the earliest possible opportunity.
If the consensus is in favour of the link to the ladder test that I have attached, I would like to suggest to the mods that it gets a sticky at the top of this thread.
