Loading 2 1/2'' shells in 3'' chamber

Never done firearms exam. Got FAC without it.

Haha. Touché. I’m not sure how you managed to slip through without taking tha PAL course though. I had my FAC and they made me take the PAL course because the FAC license was different than a PAL. They wouldn’t let my buddy who received his FAC and a year later when they went to the PAL course he had to pay again. What a rip off

I got FAC in 1983 and latter was a marksman for Guelph Rod and Gun club.

No. It is dangerous to do so. It can cause issues with the barrel. Use only shells rated for the chamber size

I hope this was an ironic/sarcastic comment ..... right?
Because I am shooting hundreds and thousands of rounds of 2 3/4 shells out of my 3 inch 870 ... 12ga ... and my barrel is not complaining ...

How could a manufacturer like Aguila offer a 1 3/4 inch Minishell if no gun for that size exists?????

Both can be shot from the same gun .... and the same principle applies to a 410 ....

Well, he could have been grandfathered to a POL and never bought or was given a new gun.
Then when they decided to do away with the POL they yet again grandfathered those individuals to to PAL.
Iirc, but have been wrong once or twice before.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think so. I had a POL and when it expired I had to take the pal course.

Well young fella your wrong and about 3 other fellas have already told you so. But if you could be so kind as to explain to us all what issues it may cause with the barrel we are all ears to hear your explanation.

That was the problem.
You let that POL expire...
Anyone who let it lapse had to take the course and pay the monies.
And I will apologize for the possibility of the hijacking of the thread.
My comments have little if any thing to do with the question of 2-1/2 inch shells in a 3 inch chambered gun.

How about 2 3/4 in a 2 1/2 chamber? OK or NOT? I'm thinking not, but then again, I had never heard of 2 1/2" chambered SGs until recently.

BTB - I let my POL expire and ended up having to take the course and exam.
