I have some of the .41 rimfire cases which use a .22 short case as primer. The bore slugs @.400, the inside of the case is .376. The recommendation is to use a .400 round ball, thumb it against the case mouth. Obviously a heeled bullet would work, too. I was wondering if a conical bullet (.375 diameter) for a .36 C&B revolver would work, if it were given a hollow base. A hollow based bullet is one system used in .41 Colt, for the same dimensional reasons. Anyone have an opinion, or a few .36 C&B bullets I could experiment with?

I would be very much surprised if a .375 would bump up to .40 particularly with such a mild cartridge as the .41 rimfire. I think you would be far better advised to make up a swage and swage a ball of a little over 40 cal into a round nosed healed bullet
