Loading 5 + 1 in SKS?

i like the idea of just dumping rounds in an upside down rifle and then slamming the mag closed. i got a question that will mess everyone up. if you remove the gas piston and your rifle is now manual operated can you then legally have the 10 round magazine? hahahahahaha

If you get it registered as a bolt action then yes.....somehow I doubt the CFC will do that, but you could weld the gas tube and submit it for reclassification , it will only take a few years for them to get back to you.

To each his own....I just don't understand why that concept is so hard for you to grasp . It can be done and the guy wants to do it , it doesn't have to be convenient or pleasing for you.

Or make any sense........gotcha!.......straight as a dogs back leg!

If you really have to do it, just load a round in the chamber then turn the rifle upside down and open the mag. Drop 5 rounds in and close the mag. I prefer to make 5 rounds stripper clips but if you want to load 6 thats the way i would do it.

That's the way I do it.

WHY?

Because soft points come in boxes of 20. Those camo rifle cartridge puches hold 14. Finding a way to have 5+1 in your SKS only seems natural. Who wants to leave one cartridge all by itself? Cartridges need friends too.
