I have 1500 or so bullets left & quite a few pounds of powder but I cant seem to nail down a load that shoots poa with my k98. I am up to 47 grains of powder (just about a case full) & I still have to set the rear sights to 3-400 meters. I am not getting any obvious pressure signs but am somewhat reluctant to go higher. Any suggestions? Anybody use a compressed load with this stuff?

Have a look there, i follow that guy site for a long time and have converted one od my M98
for this 8x63mm Swedish Mauser. Some receipe are listed foe 8mm auser cal.

I'd say you're already over CIP pressure for the 8x57 (57K psi), but probably not in high pressure territory for the action. I treat the powder as if it were between IMR4895 and IMR4064, and I stopped at 46.0 grs with that bullet-powder combination. My notes say that I was getting an MV of about 2350 fps (with a 29" barrel).
